Rep. Kevin McCarthy stated earlier this week that his proudest achievement of this Congressional Session is the establishment of the Benghazi Committee. The committee's goal was to investigate Sec. Hillary Clinton's role in the Benghazi terrorist attacks in 2011.
This answer was reminiscent of another McCarthy- Joseph McCarthy who in the 1950s conducted his own investigations (read: witch-hunts) of U.S. Citizens who may have had secret ties to Communism.
Present day McCarthy was likely to succeed John Boehner as Speaker of the House.
He has now ended his candidacy for this position, and can happily return to conducting his own witch-hunt.
